Chi Kung is a really powerful system of exercise which combines breath, movement, and awareness to promote good health. A Chi Kung class teaches simple exercises that can be done in a few minutes at home, and provides a space where you can tune into what your body needs. Chi Kung can release tension as well as building strength and restores balance and connectedness to your whole being. Benefits will be felt from each practice, and the cumulative benefits can be far reaching. Chi Kung comes from Daoist philosophy so is based on the concept of yin and yang constantly flowing and finding balance within and without. The drop-in nature of the class means that you can come and go as life allows, and will always be able to slot in, either as a beginner or a more advanced practitioner. Lizzie Douglas has been a Chi Kung instructor since 1995. She is also a Shiatsu Practitioner and teacher with over 20 years of experience. More recently, she facilitates Equine Assisted Therapy for people. Lizzie holds diplomas in Equine Shiatsu, Sports Massage and Reiki, is a fellow of the Shiatsu Society UK and registered with the National Council of Psychotherapists.
