Join staff from the Novium Museum and Fishbourne Roman Palace as we explore the rich Roman heritage of Chichester by bike. This tour will start at Fishbourne Roman Palace and join up with Centurion Way, a popular, car-free route designed for walking and cycling. We will cycle along this route at a relaxed pace, stopping at various points of interest to learn more about the rich Roman heritage of Chichester and some of the fascinating archaeology that has been discovered in the area before returning by the same route to the same starting point.

Total distance approximately 8 miles.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Minimum age 8. Parking available at Fishbourne Roman Palace for those attending the bike ride.

Terms and conditions:

  • All cyclists to be responsible for own equipment.
  • Staff are not able to offer repairs to other bikes.
  • Please ensure you are competent to ride and that your cycle is in good working order before attending.
  • The Novium Museum cannot be held responsible for any damage to bikes or equipment.
  • Please be aware that the Centurion Way is public access and shared by both cyclists and walkers. We cannot control numbers of other users on the day.
  • We recommend that cycle helmets are worn
