The multi-award-winning classical guitarist Jonathan Ross Parkin will be your guide through a surprising, dazzling and intimate portrait of the guitar's journey through Bach's Brandenburg, Beethoven's Vienna towards its cultural and spiritual home.

The guitar's journey has been a nomadic one. The guitar and its predecessors were inspired in the courts of Bach's Brandenburg and dazzled in the salons of Beethoven's Vienna until it found its cultural and spiritual home in Spain, effortlessly absorbing the traditional sounds of this mystical country.

Hacía el Sur (Heading south) reflects Jonathan's own personal journey across Europe and to Spain, where he currently lives, and aims to explore the cultural, historic and musical idiosyncrasies of the guitar.
