Up to four scheduled boat trips daily from 17th February until 3rd November
Our scheduled boat trips operate from the Canal Basin providing 75 minute return trips. A friendly volunteer crew are on board and will be happy to answer questions about the canal history, points of interest and the local wildlife along the route. The trips will normally take place on our 22 seater boat Kingfisher or occasionally on our larger boat Richmond subject to availability. The canal is a beautiful retreat close to the city, easily accessible by public transport.Enjoy the reflections on the water and the unique views of the cathedral and the beautiful Sussex South Downs. As you glide past the wild flowers and reed beds, watch out for herons and kingfishers in their natural habitat.
This trip leaves the Canal Basin and heads south into the open countryside of the Manhood Peninsula. At Hunston the canal turns right down towards Chichester Marina. At Donnington the Boat reaches its turning point and heads back towards the Basin.
