Mark Rylan is the leader of the Guildford School of Practical Philosophy. An engineer by profession, he has worked as an IT Programme Manager in the City of London for the last 20 years. There have been some truly remarkable characters in recent history that have ‘realised’ the meaning of ancient Indian teachings and philosophy. Autobiographical and biographical records, and audio and video recordings, offer a fresh perspective into the positive and uplifting meaning of Vedic philosophy. These same individuals are largely responsible for spreading this valuable knowledge to the western world and transforming the lives of many. Prominent 20th century sages Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, Shri Purohit Swami, Paramahansa Yogananda, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Swami Rama will be discussed. What can we learn from the lives of these sages? 12/£8 Hamblin Trust members
