Children's Orchestra at Westbourne House School

  • children's orchestra

January 2020 sees the launch of a new Children's Orchestra at Westbourne House School in Chichester. Aimed at children from local primary schools in the West Sussex and Hampshire areas, this new venture will provide an opportunity for children who play orchestral wind, string and brass instruments (at around Grade 1 standard and above) to play with others in a friendly, informal but stimulating setting.

The sessions will be run by the school's highly experienced music staff, and may also include some additional sessions on choral singing.

The orchestra will rehearse at Westbourne House School, on the outskirts of Chichester, most Saturday mornings during term time from 10-11.30am. There is no charge, but participants would be expected to attend the majority of sessions during the term.

If you are interested in your child joining the orchestra, please contact the school's Director of Music, Alex Dichmont - music@westbournehouse.org
